Rise MAT Celebrates Success at Relish School Food Annual Management Conference

Rise Multi Academy Trust was delighted to attend the recent Relish School Food Annual Management Conference, gaining a valuable insight into the collaboration, innovation and dedication that underpin school food provision across the region.
The event provided an opportunity to see first-hand the outstanding work being carried out by Relish School Food to support schools, kitchen managers and catering teams. Through supplier partnerships, professional development workshops and recognition of excellence across their workforce, the conference showcased the commitment and care that goes into delivering high-quality dining experiences for pupils every day.
A highlight of the event was the celebration of achievements across Relish's teams, with awards recognising exceptional contributions within school catering. Rise MAT extends its congratulations to all nominees and award winners for their dedication and hard work.

Special recognition goes to the team at Barlestone Church of England Primary School, where Kitchen Manager Samantha Normington was named Manager of the Year. This prestigious award is a testament to Samantha's leadership, commitment and passion for providing excellent school meals. Samantha herself is quick to acknowledge the contribution of her wider team, and Rise MAT would like to thank the entire kitchen team at Barlestone for the positive impact they make on pupils and the school community every day.
Commenting on the achievement, Claire Murray, Headteacher at Barlestone Church of England Primary School, said:
"We are incredibly proud of Samantha and this well-deserved recognition. The award reflects not only her dedication, professionalism and care for our pupils, but also the strength of the entire kitchen team, who work tirelessly every day to provide nutritious, high-quality meals for our children. School food plays such an important role in the school experience, and we are grateful for the positive difference Samantha and her team make to our school community."
Rise MAT would also like to thank Relish School Food for the invitation to attend the conference and for their continued support of schools, pupils and staff across the Trust.

Working alongside partners who share a commitment to excellence helps ensure that children receive the very best experiences, both in and beyond the classroom. Rise MAT is proud to continue its partnership with Relish School Food and looks forward to future opportunities to celebrate and support the vital role of school catering teams.
